Description KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead The Day To Day Running And Business Operation Of The Hospital. This Will Include The Practice Areas Of: O Financial Planning And Performance O Regulatory Compliance O Corporate Governance And Business Development • Managing Costs By Continually Seeking Data That Will Identify Opportunities And Take Action To Eliminate Non-value Costs In Conjunction With The CEO And Chief Nursing Officer Or Matron. • Implement Adequate Controls • Review And Ensure That All Operational Systems, Including The Telephone And Communication Systems, Access To Medical And Nursing Care, Dispensary, Incoming Mail Etc. Function At An Optimum Level All Times. • Update Protocols As Required. • Ensure The Summarising Of Clinical Information On To The Patient Medical Records And Summarising Of Notes Is Kept Up To The Necessary Levels. • Ensure The Correct Registration And Deduction Of Patient Records In Line With Recommended Procedures. • Manage Current Hospital Premises And Grounds Maintenance And Cleaning Issues Maintaining And Monitoring The Premises Log And Booking Maintenance Work As Required. This Includes Routine Maintenance And The Servicing Of Utilities Supplies. • Oversee Information Systems To And From Patients, Registrations And Bookings, Current And Future Proof IT. • Participating In The Business Planning And Hospital Development Strategy Process • Assuring Effective Communication Among Interdependent Departments And Functions • Work With The HR Function To Operationally Align The Workforce • Work With The CEO To Set Comprehensive Goals For Performance And Growth Of The Hospital • Assist The CEO In Ensuring The Hospital Meets All The Necessary Regulatory And Compliance Requirements And Accreditations, Health And Safety Etc. • Encourage Maximum Performance And Dedication From Employees • Promote A Culture That Upholds The Reputation Of The Hospital For Providing Superior Patient Outcomes • Identify Areas That Need Improvement, Plan Strategies That Provide Sustainable Advances, And Develop And Execute These Plans For Continuous Quality Improvement • Conduct Board Meetings, Including Establishing An Agenda And Maintaining Records • Implement And Support Talent Development To Ensure A Productive Workforce That Has The On-going Ability To Meet Changing Job Requirements • Work With Dedicated Financial Professionals (ex: Hospital Accountant) To Produce Working Financial Documents That Are Understandable And Meaningful To The Physicians.
