Description The Area Sales Manager Will Be Responsible For The Growth And Development Of Business In Defined Sales Area Through Effective Management Of Customer Accounts And The Achievement Of Field Sales Objectives. Other Duties Include; Set And Monitor The Achievement Of Monthly Customer Sales Targets 2. Set And Monitor The Achievement Of Monthly Sales Target Of Sales Team I.e. Supervisors And Promoters 3. Recruit, Manage And Grow Customer Accounts In Sales 4. Ensure Assigned Customers Comply With Trading Terms And Policies 5. Ensure Implementation Of Field Sales Management Best Practices In Sales Area 6. Ensure Effective Demarcation Of Sales Territories For Effective Coverage By DP’s In Sales Area 7. Ensure Development Of DP’s Capacity To Service All Retail Outlets In Defined Sales Area . Monitor And Report Competitor Activities In Sales Area 8. Conduct & Update The Territory Census Of All Retail Outlets . Develop Annual Business Plan For Assigned Customers 10. Effective Distribution Of POS Materials In Sales Region 9. Supervise/monitor All Promotional Activities In Sales Area Other Skills Include; Sound Knowledge Of Sales Principles And Best Practices Information Technology Skill Good Team Player Staff Commitment Engagement Drive & Accountability
