Description Summary/Objective The Information Technology Manager Is Responsible For The Overall Planning, Organizing, And Execution Of All IT Functions At The Location. This Includes Directing All IT Operations To Meet Customer Requirements As Well As The Support And Maintenance Of Existing Applications And Development Of New Technical Solutions. Responsibilities • Evaluating User Needs And System Functionality And Ensuring That ICT Facilities Meet These Needs; • Planning, Developing And Implementing The ICT Budget, Obtaining Competitive Prices From Suppliers, To Ensure Cost Effectiveness; • Researching And Installing New Systems; • Ensuring The Smooth Running Of All ICT Systems, Including But Not Limited To Anti-virus Software, Print, Scan And Copy Services And Email Provision; • Ensuring That Software Are Up To Date And Licensing Laws Are Adhered To; • Providing Secure Access To The Network For Remote Users; • Ensuring The Security Of Data From Internal And External Threats; • Providing Users (both Internal And External) With Appropriate Support And Advice; • Managing Crisis Situations, Which May Involve Complex Technical Hardware Or Software Problems; • Mentoring And Training New ICT Support Staff; • Supervising All Staff In The ICT Department; • Keeping Up To Date With The Latest Technologies; • Preserving Assets By Creating And Implementing Disaster Recovery And Back-up Procedures And Information Security And Control Structures; • Recommending Information Technology Strategies, Policies, And Procedures By Evaluating Organization Outcomes; Identifying Problems; Evaluating Trends; Anticipating Requirements; • Maintaining Quality Service By Establishing And Enforcing Organization Standards; • Maintaining Professional And Technical Knowledge By Attending Educational Workshops; Reviewing Professional Publications; Establishing Personal Networks; Benchmarking State-of-the-art Practices; Participating In Professional Societies. • Contributing To Team Effort By Accomplishing Related Results As Needed.
